Young Man Has Allergic Reaction from Fiance’s Cooking
I work in the emergency room of our local hospital. Last night we had a really scared young man show up via ambulance. He could hardly breathe and his eyes were swollen shut. It was an obvious allergic reaction. When he could finally talk again, he told us that he knows that he has a severe shrimp allergy. Apparently his fiance had cooked a special seafood meal for home and he was afraid to ask her what was in the casserole after all her special efforts. I doubt that he will be so timid next time, and I’m not sure the poor girl will ever cook for him again.
