Buses from Baroda

The ruins nearby indicate the existence of a more ancient temple. A millennium back, the Adi Shankaracharya visited the shrine by the Buses from Baroda. The Abhinava gupta was the Acharya of Srinagar university. He met Adi Shanfra and had a long philosophical and religious dialogue with him. Since Shankra’s visit the hill has been known by his num. The hill and the temple overlooking plenty offer a panoramic view of Srinagar, the paradisal valley and the Pir Panjal Ranges. The temple is believed to have been built by Emperor Ashoka’s son Jaluka in 200 B.C., and then it was further extended by King Gopaditya (253 – 328 A.D.)
